A short workshop to exchange ideas about ICT4D took pace at VU, in the IntertainLab, on 24 October 2014. Mrs. Maneesha Ramesh, professor and director of the Amrita Center for Wireless Networks & Applications and Shyam Diwaker, assistant professor and head of the Computational Neuroscience Lab visited VU Amsterdam Network Institute and International Office and met researchers and students. They presented us the interesting Live-in-LABS program, aimed at uplifting rural India. We exchanged ideas about ICT4D in India and western Africa, the Space of Dialogue, and Downscaling the (Semantic) Web, infrastructure, interfaces and data. From VU the participants were Maarten van Steen, Julie Ferguson, Wendelien Tuyp, Christophe Guéret, Myrthe van der Wekken, Erik van Zwol, and Anna Bon.
