A second plenary meeting and workshop of the TO-INN project took place in Buenos Aires, from 19 – 21 March 2018. From VU Anna Bon and Rien Kool are the delegates.
All 22 partners institutions were invited. The meeting was organized and hosted by UNSAM (Universidad de San Martín) and UNIPE (Universidad Pedagógica Nacional), who are the two TO-INN partner institutions from Argentina.
This three day workshop was spent with discussions how to proceed. Much attention was given to the design and implementation of the TO-INN Instrument fro Student Analytics, also referred to as teh Observatorion Estudiante.
This is a questionnaire is a management tool for higher education. It is designed for collecting student data (as a survey) that will allow the identification of student groups that may be more vulnerable to exclusion or discrimination due different factors.
During the discussions it was clear that context is an important factor in the design of the tool. Adaptation to the local country context is therefore a requirement to make this tool a success. Many discussions follow.
We enjoy the beautiful city of Buenos Aires, in which tango is danced at virtually every street corner. A last night is spent together with all TO-INN partners, watching a real Tango show.
This is supported in part by a grant from the Erasmus+ Key Action 2 – Capacity building in the field of Higher Education of the European Union (573685-EPP-2016-1-ES-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP) https://www.toinn.org. The TO-INN project focuses on the challenges of Higher Education in providing inclusive education for all. This targets specifically students from less privileged sectors of society.
