Although the goal to improve communication depends on digital technologies, the methodology of the training workshops includes persnal interactions, in the form of workshops and field work, visits to the field of AOPP, and farmer-to-farmer visits. During these so-called living labs, AOPP members interact, discuss what they observe in the fields and document the local farmer-innovations which are relevant for in Food & Nutrition. Meanwhile they share among each other the challenges everyone encountered, especially with the commercialization and organization of their enterprises. Engaging with innovative farmers and various other stakeholders in the value chains, the participants collect relevant feedback on the impact of the initiatives and identify areas for improvement.
After the field visits, the findings are extensively discussed with the W4RA team. The outcomes of this activity are enhanced knowledge on agro-ecology and how to transform, market commercialize to enhance local sales of agro-ecological products.
