The Web Alliance for Regreening in Africa (W4RA) extends its heartfelt congratulations to journalist and radio presenter Wendpanga Jean Arnaud Sawadogo, who has been named the best anti-smoking journalist in French-speaking Africa during the traditional World No Tobacco Day celebrations on May 31, 2024, at the Ouagadougou Smoking Cessation Unit.
Jean Arnaud is currently involved in the SUMBALA project, funded by Nuffic, where he trains and coaches women cooperatives in Non-Timber Forest Products (NTFPs) to market their goods using local radio platforms. His work embodies the W4RA mission to leverage communication technology for sustainable development and regreening in Africa.
